Kennedy Elementary School was opened in the fall of 2006, Welcoming students in Grades K-5. In the fall of 2008, the fifth-grade instruction to moved to Discovery Middle School, while an addition was planned and constructed pn the west side of Kennedy. The new construction, completed in August 2011, added eight new classrooms, and expanded the multipurpose room, allowing room for the fifth-grade instruction to return to Kennedy in the fall of 2012.
The School mission is to create and maintain a school where students learn in a safe, collaborative, and stimulating environment while developing academic, cultural, and character excellence for successful lifelong learning; students move on to Ben Franklin Middle School, Carl Ben Eielson Middle School and Discovery Middle School.
The Student day starts at 7:55 A.M and ends at 4:00 PM
