Cheney Middle School was built in 2004. It has received one addition in 2018 as part of the 2015 bond referendum. The building occupies a 31.4-acre site in West Fargo and has a preferred capacity of 1080 and a maximum capacity of 1200.

Home to the Cheney Packers.

Students from Eastwood Elementary School, Harwood Elementary School, L.E. Berger Elementary School, South Elementary School, Westside Elementary School, and Willow Park Elementary School go to Cheney Middle School and finished their educational career with the district at West Fargo High School.
