2022 was a year of change and growth for our family. It started in December 2021 and the addition of another fur baby, a Shih Tzu puppy named Snicklefritz. Boy, was that an adjustment for Gideon, Gilligan and us too!
Oh, that was really the beginning of growth and change as Evelynn Marie, our 1st granddaughter, was born on St. Patrick's Day. Luckily, we were both able to be present for her birth and were able to spend time at the hospital with them. Evelynn and her mom, Sarah, live with us providing plenty of snuggles, giggles and play time. This summer was spent in the pool with Evelynn loving the water each night floating and splashing.
This fall she was enrolled in swimming lessons and loves her pool time. Her growth changes daily and is now starting to crawl, has 2 bottom teeth, loves to play patty-cake, read books, laugh and receive kisses from Snicklefritz.
In October, we were introduced to our 2nd granddaughter, Oaklyn Michele, born to Sam and Ashley. We were able to see Oaklyn shortly
after she was born. Boy, does she look like her Daddy! They live in Fargo and we get to see Oaklyn quite a bit too. It is fun to get the lil girls together, watch them interact and see how much more alert and interactive Oaklyn gets each time we see her. We are hoping for more pool time this summer with both of the lil girls.
The end of October brought us to Phoenix for Rochelle's Top Agent Retreat and a little work-cation. We enjoyed the warmer weather and
the scenic change to the mountains. Other travel adventures included a quick get-a-way to Las Vegas in March and in January a winter escape to Tampa, Fort Meyers and Orlando, Florida. We were so fortunate to be able to see the western part of Florida before the hurricane devastation.
Brian is still at North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) Fargo in the work force affairs department overseeing the CDL and CNA programs. Rochelle continues with real estate with Century 21 serving the Fargo-Moorhead, Detroit Lakes, Wahpeton-Breckenridge and surrounding communities.
All of the other kids are doing well and we are looking at spending some time with all of them around Christmas. Our parents have been doing good with all of them staying healthy. We are looking forward to Christmas this year with the lil girls and all that Santa (Ok, well, Grandma!... ssshhh, don't tell) might bring. Shopping has been taken to another level with the granddaughers. Or as Brian says, "What did you get them now??!!!"
With continued good health, we are planning more traveling adventures in the upcoming year.
We wish you the very best in a healthy, happy and prosperous 2023!
